so like I just really need to say something, this has always bothered me.

When fans of bands bring down other fans. It's not worth it, it hurts you, that person and the band too. I don't care if this will make you not really like me anymore but I'm just sick of the way that fans of bands treat the other fans of that band. Like I have been to enough concerts to know the difference between a fan that loves the band(and therefore wouldn't tear down fellow fans) or one that is just there for it being a concert. I am preaching to myself(excuse that phrase) when I say this, stop being so rude to each other, grow up and get along. You love that band, you're at their concert, there you already have 2 things in common...go off of that. I am sick of fans being told they aren't true fans cause of the time that they started listening to the band. Or just them doing the stupid stuff that they do sometimes...well besides the ones that are very overzealous...they can be annoying, I can pick most of those out too...haha.

so right now I am so sick of the way that my extended family treats me and my siblings. I have always felt like one of my parents families thinks we should be like perfect little angels because we grew up in a christian home. also that we really shouldn't read, watch, or listen to anything that they consider "bad". I am always getting told by my mom that they are yelling at her to not have us reading/watching Twilight. WHO CARES...I LIKE TWILIGHT AND AM PROUD OF IT. I don't truly believe that vampires/werewolves are real. Personally I believe that the main point of the books is that it truly a love story. SO STOP TELLING ME WHAT I AM TO DO WITH MY LIFE.

that person thinks that they know the Hawk Nelson, Stellar Kart, Switchfoot, Flyleaf, Family Force 5, Underoath, bands like them. Saying they are ungodly pretty much. They don't even know them. I know at least those first five bands are made up of VERY GODLY men and woman(Flyleaf). I have had the opportunity to meet those five bands at least once...HN is up to 5 and SK is at 2...they are going out into the world and doing what God has pretty much put on their hearts. I am so sick of people bringing these bands that I love so much down because they aren't staying in the "christian realm" of things. Like grow up people. The bible even says to go out into the world make disciples of everyone....I am sorry if you haven't read that part...but wait...I learned that verse when I was in Sunday School.

These people call themselves "christians" but go and tear down their brothers and sisters in christ because they don't think they are doing "what God wants" in their lives. Funny thing is that I can see Jesus shining through them more than I can see it in most "christians" I know. I think I have posted about this before but it is something that really hurts me to see people tearing them down. well I just needed to rant.

Why aren't Kellan and Jackson considered Twilight heartthrobs?

So like looking over blogs and stuff...the heartthrobs are mainly Cam, Rob or Taylor. Don't really see many like Kellan or Jackson confessions. CONFESSION: I think that Jackson and Kellan are both hotties and guys to watch out for as they are both getting more leading roles. I think it is funny that Kellan isn't up for "hottest chest" on People.com. He would win...check out his 8 pack in this picture.

And Jackson...um...well he can play instraments and sing...and personally that makes me think that he is a heartthrob. He is a cutie too. Like he is going to be doing a lot more things, he has 6 things for sure out in the next 2 years, and that doesn't include New Moon or Eclipse. I am really excited to see my favorite Disney short show host going so far. Kellan has only 3 that are on IMDB.com but I know that they will be amazing. I want to see Warrior(which also includes Ashley Greene). I am not saying that I don't like any of the other guys...because they are all really good looking but they do get a lot more attention for being "hot" than Kellan and Jackson.I loved that Twilight won for almost every award they were up for. Cam lost to Heath Ledger for best villian(which is okay) and Decode(Paramore) lost to The Climb(Miley Cyrus) for best song from a movie. Favorite Twilight parts:

the first one is of Kellan doing an interview with a magazine that Rob was in in 03...it is pretty funny. The second is of him doing another interview at Acciocon this last weekend, he talks about Rob, Edward and stunts in it. it is really good. He is #10 on the Starmeter on IMDB.com. After most of the other Cullens(Elizabeth Reaser isn't on it)...and it only has 2 people not in twilight on the list(Liam Neeson and his deseased wife Natasha Richardson). haha. I had watched both Stick It and Accepted in the movie theater when it came out. Never really noticed his name at the end(but I thought he was good looking when I saw Stick It). But then I was pretty much introduced to him when I started to look up stuff about Twilight. and I just like look at other sites and stuff. I knew what his name was pretty much from me starting to like Twilight. Then their are people who call him "the guy who played Emmett in Twilight". I was like laughing when I told this one chick who was freaking out over my bag and shirt that he was in both of those movies.

In other news...I knew a band before they even made it to my church...haha. the youth group is having this band called "The Cause" come and do worship for them. I found out about them through the Cup O Joy's website and checked them out and liked them. Then found out they were going to be at BASIC books the night after their show at the Cup and yeah. Then a couple weeks ago our youth pastor told me that they were getting a band and when she said the name I was like "woah...I know of them". haha. I can't help with them that night though cause AWANA is still going on at that point. So I have to be in the children's wing. haha.

So like I was looking up Twilight stuff yesterday cause I was going off of my Igoogle stuff(yes...I have Twilight on my igoogle...haha). And I came across pictures from the New Moon set. about 1/2 of them were of the cast smoking, which I don't really care about...it is their bodies and they are adults and none can make them do anything. here is the link to it http://www.celebuzz.com/up-minute-new-moon-pics-g93261/ ...I like reading the comments cause all of them are like "eww..." "we hate smokers" "we don't want you to smoke"..."everyone smokes on that set". Which isn't true cause of Taylor and Ashley and Jackson not having any pics(if they do) of them smoking. Like grow up people...who cares if they smoke. They know what it does to them...and they choose to keep on doing it. I just feel bad that Robert and Kristen really get the brunt of everything with that.
So many people like think that they cast should be like perfect...they need a wake up call...NO ONE IS PERFECT. Personally I don't like people who think that they are perfect. yeah...I think I am done with that.

If you could, could you pray for my mom? She sprained her ankle severily a month ago and it isn't healing at all really. Pray that she doesn't need surgery, even though the MRI came back normal. Thanks.

So when I have liked a band for a while but never really listened to their music until like a certian song comes out. An example of this is Paramore. I have liked them ever since I heard Misery Business...but never really like completely listened to their other songs...besides like the singles that they have had. So now that they have had the song Decode(which right now is in my status) and it is in Twilight(which I have been reading those books). Yes I started listening to them more now that I have really gotten hooked on Decode...so what. I think of it this way. I am listening to a GREAT band(which I think 3 of them are younger than I am, know Josh is older and not sure about Jeremy...yes including Taylor on that) that makes such good music. Even though most people I know wouldn't call them stuff that I would(I can't put it into words on this without like making it sound really weird), I love that I can just hear certian messages in the music that I had never really heard before. It helps me out a lot...I love that I can have a band like that....I have had a couple people be like "oh you aren't a true fan cause you didn't like them til Decode." it hurts me so much to have people even say that to me.

update on my book progress. I made it throught New Moon(boring kinda...least favorite) and Eclipse and have just over 100 pages left of Breaking Dawn. I have to say that this is one of my favorite series ever...no matter what other people say to me. Like I don't really like Jacob, but from what a few of my friends have told me not very many people do. I have a theory that most people who like him only because it is Taylor that is playing him in the movies. haha...I kinda wish they would have went on the thing they were going to do, replace him with Michael Copon for when he would have had to get taller and stuff. haha...then maybe I would turn and like Jacob...J/K...EXTREMELY. haha. yeah...I will always be team Edward.

btw...when I went on Wed. of last week to Walmart my sis and I were looking at the Twilight stuff...they had about 30 of each shirt that they have there. I went back on Friday and they were SOLD OUT of the team Edward shirts that they had, and had like 1/2 of the Jacob shirts left...I was like well I know who almost everyone likes...haha.

So from the title it could be about anything. I have finally gave in and read Twilight and am on New Moon right now. I have to say that this series is one of my favorites. I can't really put the books down...but I needed to now cause I just couldn't read anymore...my eyes were hurting. I am going to most likely have that done by tomorrow night, Saturday at the latest. I really like the books. My brother thinks I am listening to Paramore now more cause of it...cause of Decode. I really like the song, so much I put it as my Facebook status. haha. I wish I had the money to go to Walmart this weekend and buy it...or a shirt that I found that I love. haha.

So about 2 and 1/2 years ago my youth pastor announced he was leaving our church to go and be a youth pastor at a church in South Dakota. I couldn't cry at all when he told us...I was just going through shock I guess. Well I came home and needed to write one of my friends about another friend and what happened. So I just went on myspace because I have no clue why. Then went to Jon Steingard's myspace page, which was kinda random cause I would have usually gone to like Hawk's, Jordan's or FF5's. The first song on his player at that time was this song called "Through The Wires". I sat there and bawled. It was really amazing that God spoke to me through that song and I didn't even realize it at that time. Here are the lyrics to it(written by Jon).

So one of my friends did this...and I kinda thought it would be fun. So here are some facts about me.

1. I am the second oldest of 4, the summer one. My parents have a kid for each season of the year. My little sister is fall, older sister is winter and brother is spring(technically not...but close enough).

2. I have always loved music. Most people might think I am spoiled when I tell them how many bands I have seen and how many times I have seen some of them, but the truth is...I only really go to like 4 or 5 concerts a year, which two are festivals, which really up the count.

3. I get annoyed when bands spell Oshkosh wrong. They spell it like the clothing company, which yes that did kinda make Oshkosh famous...but yeah. I actually got Leeland to change it...haha.

4. I was affected so much by the tragedy that happened to SCC and his family. I grew up on his music and when I get older I want to adopt a child.

these two things made my year so far....like holy crap. I love that Hawk's new album is due out in July...if I am lucky the first or last Tuesday. First so I can buy it b4 Lifest(or at Lifest), last it is the tues b4 my b-day. and Lifest...if they are really right before Thrid Day most likely they will be on the grandstand which makes me so proud of them...usually the bands on the Grandstand are big ones or ones that aren't really right for the Edge(which Hawk has played a few times). I am so happy about it.

Okay I am doing this prayer revolution thing with my church. Sunday was hero day in the book. I kinda chose to write my hero a letter. My Hero is my mother, but I also have 5 other heroes...Daniel Biro, Jason Dunn, Jonathan Steingard, Aaron Tosti and Justin Benner, yes Hawk Nelson. They helped me through so much in my life with their music and just being around at concerts and stuff. I had a rough year from 05-06, stuff with my mom's health and nephew, Letters to the President helped me through a lot that winter and then Smile starting in April. They have never made me feel like a fan(like some of the other fans have made me feel), I always feel like a friend around them. They make everyone feel special when you are around them. I should really talk to them in person and explain all of the stuff that has happened that they really helped me get through. Including the stuff about my nephew. If they read this...they really should comment me...haha.

wow...so much has happened this year. I lost some of my friends, but I gained so many new ones that I don't care anymore. In Janurary I had planned for 2 weeks to have one of my friends buy the Green Tee Tour tickets for me...and to go with her. Her mom and friend convinced her that she didn't have the money to go...so I ended up not going. Oh well didn't really care afterwards...cause of what I found out the next month. I had a good time otherwise. Well then in March I had done the Hawk Nelson myspace contest and won the Friday before the cd came out(April 1st). I got the booklet, postcards and a keychain. I had bought a Special Edition in the middle of March of the cd. I didn't really go to many concerts in the first part of the year(b4 Lifest), I think I only went to Micah's cd release show and the AG Silver show at our church that I helped put on. Which that is kinda weird for me. After Lifest is a different story. So Lifest was amazing...might just add a blog about that soon...just really late...haha.
2 weeks after Lifest I went to my 7th Hawk Nelson show...I should put that on here too. yeah...it was an amazing show. then I didn't do much...stopped helping on wed. with the youth group and started to help with AWANA. I love it. In Oct. I went to Power Of One. Then in November went to a Steve Green show, he was the first concert that I actually remember...from when I was like 5. then to the Everlife show.
the concerts this year were amazing.

In November my friend put on Seven Project at her high school...that was a fun day. Got to hang out with the people that she got for entertainment....Rockford Masters Commision. It was a lot of fun...

Most of my friends know what they mean to me...so I don't really feel like writing it out.

So this last weekend I went to an Everlife show. I went with my little sister, aunt Sue and grandma. They came and got Davana and I at about 3:30. We got up to Green Bay at about 4:30, went for supper at The Olive Garden; I had the Chicken Alfredo Pizza with my grandma. Then at about 5:35 we went over to the Cup O Joy, where the concert was. We sat in the car for like 20 minutes and then got out when other people got out. Davana and I were the first 2 people in line. We were there about 35 minutes(my toes were icicles by the time we got inside). During that time Jordan had gotten locked out of the building so came in the front to see if he could get in. I was like "Jordan it's locked*pulled door*, see." He was on the phone so he didn't really talk that much. But asked how I was and told us he got locked out and came over to see it the door was open. So after like 35 minutes of having my feet freeze off we got inside. Davana I went straight to the front. Got our spots in front of Julia, but got pushed over through the night by these kinda mean girls*they gave me dirty looks a few times...more about that soon*. We let the daughter of the lady next to our aunt and g-ma stand by us(that is when the girls started to move over to where I was). So like I was trying to be nice and tell the girls like what happened to Jordan. One of them goes "well this is an acoustic show, which means the only guitars are the girls...if it was electric then they would have another one." I was like "well I just talked to THIER LEAD GUITARIST outside...I know him through Hawk Nelson stuff...they have him with them right now". Then she gave me a wierd look.

The show started. First came on One Voice...I would say to check them out on Myspace but they don't have one. They were amazing. I like them. Didn't look that much younger than me(yes I said younger). They did about 5 songs and then Everlife needed to set up. So the band guys were setting the stuff up for the girls and I said hi to aaron and then he got patted on the head by Jordan and said "okay, i'll just stay down here"...Davana and I laughed at that. Then the girls next to me go "omg he is so cute" about Jordan and one of them asks me his name. I tell her it and add in "he has a girlfriend". You should have seen the look on her face...priceless. Then Davana said Jordan kinda soft but loud enough for him to hear it and he waved at us. Got some evil looks for that.

So the girls come out and start singing White Christmas and then go into Find Yourself In You. The show was amazing. I had so much fun. Afterwards Davana really wanted to meet them, but I wanted to give Jordan and Aaron the things I had brought for them. So I waited like 10 minutes for those two to get out and start do their packing up stuff. So I saw Aaron first and gave him the video thing I had made. Told him that I was supposed to give it to him in July and didn't and that was why it had "happy belated b-day" stuff in it. He said thanks and then went on doing stuff. Then I saw Jordan and was like "hey jordan you know when you said on myspace that you wanted a sketch of yourself, well". he was like "no you didn't did you?" So I showed him it. Explained the back a little and then he was like "did you do this yourself?" I was like yeah...and can you sign this one. he asked if I did both, said that I did but the one I was keeping was traced from the other one. He told me I was a really good artist. I said thanks. Then he signed it and then we took 2 pics(first one had no flash, second one was better). I said thanks and then went back down to the Everlife table to have them sign my shirt and sticker that I had Davana buy for me. So we went through and they were asking me who signed my shirt and just being fun. Like Julia folded my shirt cause she "likes things being neat". It was pretty funny. So we got that stuff signed and a pic with them. Then we were ready to leave and I went and introduced myself to Tyler. Then we left. We were about half way home and I realized Jordan had my marker. Haha. yeah now some pics...won't be many..cause this is weird. So first off the pic that Jordan signed.

Yes this one is about my favorite thing in the whole world, MUSIC.

I always love going to concerts(next one is Dec. 6th: Everlife and Morning Will Break and One Voice).

I have over 60 cds, and then like 20 mix ones.

I love music.

It is one of my passions.

I guess I kinda want to say thank you to my top 6 artists/bands:

1. Hawk Nelson-Thank you boys so much for everything you do for your friends. We love you. You have helped me out in so many more ways than you would even know. I love you boys and you are some of my favorite people in the whole world. I really don't think I could really get through some days without you. I will tell you what some of this stuff is about next time I see you.

2. Capital Lights-You are one of the newest bands on this list. When I met you guys you made me feel like I was one of your friends and that will go a long way for you guys. You guys are amazing Christian men. I am so proud to call you guys one of my favorites. Now you guys need to come to Lifest next summer, so I can say you have been in my hometown.

3. Run Kid Run-Seriously if I would have done this a year ago you guys wouldn't even be on the list. Now they are my 3rd favorite band...and they know it. I love hanging out with and talking to these 4 guys. They are so amazing and in love with God.

4. The Becoming-wowness. I can't wait to actually see these guys live. They are so nice and everything. I have met Justin(thanks to DMHO), but he is only 1/5th of the band. They are like one of the only few bands that actually respond to my comments on Myspace(them and Joel and Luke...I have had a few from other ones...but not as much). I love their music and really can't wait.

5. Joel and Luke-Their big sister is one of my favorite female artists, Rebecca St. James(btw her last name is actually Smallbone). Their music is so amazing. I <3 their voices and I <3 my pics with them. They are so sweet and down to earth and yeah. I have a secret with one of them...haha.

6. Cycledown- These guys walked into my life a year ago...and I am sad that they broke up...but I get that it is for the better of all of them. I remember the day I met them so much...it was so much fun getting to hang out with them and then getting to do the same thing a week later.

Music has helped me through so much and I am so thankful for these bands and everyone that I have met thanks to them and a lot of other bands. It is one thing that can bring most people together that you would think would never even be friends just by the way they look.

I am going to put what I am thankful for. It might be kinda wacko but it will be true.

1. Jesus- He is always there for me and I know that he loves me no matter what I do. If I walk away I can run back to his open arms. He is my best friend.

2. My family- they accept me for who I am and are almost always loving.

3. Hawk Nelson- It might be weird to some of you. But I am thankful to have the Hawk Nelson guys in my life. They have changed my life so much since I met them. I love being around them and they always make me feel special in some way(especially Daniel or Aaron[but he is gone now])

4. Thrift stores-It is pretty cool clothes for cheap prices. I can find brand names all the time for like up to 10 dollars. I love it.

5. My Friends-my friends help me through everything. I have made so many new ones this year, but have lost some and yet reconnected with others.

it was so amazing. I absolutely love Run Kid Run, Cycledown and Capital Lights. I dont' think I could ever forget it. here are some highlights of the day:

-Eric saying he has a whole half of a brain

-Phil saying he shares a brain with Eric and he has the good half

-Chris yelling at me with his eyes...haha.

-the Cycledown guys thinking my little sis(who isn't even 13 yet) went to a college in Cali.

-Run Kid Run blowing a fuse or something during the Pizza Bash concert

-losing my hearing in my left ear from standing too close to the speaker at the concert during the Pizza Bash.

-seeing Capital Lights for the first time

-meeting and talking to the Capital Lights guys.

-getting the pics with the bands

-Run Kid Run's(both), Capital Lights', Cycledown's, Kutless's, TFK's and Fireflight's shows.

okay...so if there is really one thing I have learned over the last 6 months is that. That life can be gone in a minute. It started on May 22nd, when I found out that Maria Sue Chapman, the 5 year old adapted daughter of christian music star Steven Curtis Chapman(SCC), died in a accident with the SUV that her brother was driving. I had grown up on SCC music my whole life so it did affect me...cause his music had touched my life. I was actually at his first show back on July 11th at Lifest. I know it was hard for him and his whole band, which included both of his sons, Caleb and Will. He hadn't planned to sing Cinderella, the song he wrote for her and her 3 sisters, but he did with a little surprise ending. He actually ended early, which I wouldn't have even known...cause we had a really bad storm coming our way.
2 weeks after that I found out that one of my friends has eye cancer. He is like best friends and a big brother to a lot of my friends and me and my brother. He is still really sick but is taking it easy and relaxing and playing a few shows with his band.
Then a couple weeks ago 2 of my friends were involved in a car accident that killed two of their friends. yeah...I don't wanna talk about that though...
It just proves that you shouldn't take anything for granted. Love when you don't mean to and tell the people you love that you love them. thanks for reading(even though I don't think i have had anyone).

It is 54 days until Power Of One. They are bringing in the Creationfest Tour for it. So I can't wait. Kutless, Pillar, Thousand Foot Krutch, Run Kid Run, Worth Dying For, Capital Lights, Fireflight, Cycledown(they aren't on it...but are performing). It is going to be amazing. 3 of my top 10 bands are going to be there(RKR, Capital Lights, and Cycledown). I haven't seen Capital Lights yet...though like everyone that has, including the Hawk Nelson guys, have nothing but praise for them. I can't wait to see them. This will be my 3rd time seeing Run Kid Run this year...but it is worth it...they are so cool. Might give them something special...and write something on it...but more about that like maybe after the show....haha.

okay...just a little about me

Hi...to people reading this that really don't know me, I'll tell you about myself.

My name is Kathleen, but I go by Kathy usually. I do have other nicknames that other people call me...but only a select few can actually call me those names. I am 20 and a Christian, which means I love God and I do have my ups and downs with my RELATIONSHIP with him, but he is always there for me. I have 2 sisters and a brother. One of my sisters is named Joy and she is 24, the other is Davana who is 12. my brother is named Micheal and is 18. I have a 5 year old nephew that is named Ben.
I love music. I have been to this festival called Lifest for the last 10 years, that is held in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and is 5 days long(Wed-Sun) during the summer. I have also been to another festival held in Green Bay, Wisconsin called Power Of One, it is only a one day festival held in the fall. I go to concerts like every once in a while, mostly of local bands. I love going to concerts and meeting the bands.
